You might want to run 'apt –fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    atom : Depends: git
    Depends: gconf2
    Depends: gconf-service
Depends: python but it is not going to be installed
code : Depends: libgconf-2-4 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt –fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

  4. sir, i follow your process to install atom in ubuntu mate 18.04 version. but after sudo apt-get install atom command there is show E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with –fix-missing?
what can i do for this problem? please help me

  5. You can now install Atom on any Snap enabled distribution using `snap install atom –classic` and it will always be the latest version and kept up to date. You might want to create a new video describing this for your viewer? Also, Android Studio and the entire JetBrains portfolio of IDEs are also available as snaps!
