I'm a Linux. The Song.

1 min read

Macs are hipsters. PC’s are dorks.
I’m a Linux. All I care about is rocking. Hard.
(For the “I’m a Linux” video contest.
The Linux mascot is “Tux the Penguin,” so this time the penguin costume is actually appropriate.)

  1. @pielover8888 Ah, I see. I was saying 4 hours is good compared to most (now 5 year old) laptops. Batteries degrade over time, if you don't replace them they will hold less and less charge.

I believe my argument was 4 hours on an old lappy is nice when running windows on it gives you 1.5, but to be honest I can't remember the specs any more (srsly, thread necromancy from a 2 year old comment… what in hell)

Aaanyway… much love, hail satan, peace out.

  2. @Jsmith858522 the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
