  1. Linux mint has been my choice for years. It might be a good idea to stick plain construction paper or something over that extremely distracting laptop cover in the future. Don't know where you got all those stickers but the machine would look a heck of a lot better without them.

  2. The notification suggestion to set a root password seems more like a bug to me as Ubuntu and derivatives disable the root account for a reason. Other than that, this looks like a solid release.

  3. Thank you, Jay. Not for me. But I am glad people do like it. (If I had no choice but to use Mint and Cinnamon because that was what Linux was, I would but I would not be someone who watches Linux video and participates in project mailing lists.) btb me pop shebop

  4. I just bought an Acer Aspire 5 laptop for the express purpose of making it a dedicated linux machine. Mint is one of the distros I am currently looking into. I have desktop machines running Mate and want to use a different flavor this time. I have run several different live sessions on the Acer and it likes linux. It is a Ryzen 3 processor. I am upgrading the C drive to a 512gb Intel NVME and already upgraded the RAM to 8 gigs as well as installing a 480gb Adata SSD.

I found this video very helpful. I have used Mint in the past but shied away from it when the security breach occurred several years ago with the downloads. I look forward to your review of this new distro. Thank you.

  5. Good video, i am testing the beta aswell … Anyway, if there is someone that uses Mint / Ubuntu for Second Life, i have a problem i can't solve and would appreciate any help … 🙁
