1 min read

Today we are benchmarking the Ryzen 5 3600 with the Radeon RX 5700XT! This is what I think is the perfect price to performance sweet spot for this latest Navi/Ryzen launch and we got some pretty serious results!

  1. when will different types of 5700xt come out? (with more coolers and different design) And also, is ryzen 5 2600/2600x enough for this card?

  2. Amazon is out of 3600s until September 9th. Had to go for a 3600x and a 5700 XT. All the X's. Arrives in 2 days. The 3600x was 239 instead of 250, so meh. Have ran Intel CPU + AMD GPU for a decade, and it's been 12 years since I've had an AMD CPU that was shaming Intel. Already have custom water cooling ready to go on the 3600x and the 5700 XT, can't wait to check out an all AMD build.

  3. I have same CPU but same card but mine is XFX. ASROCK B450 Steel legend and my fps is higher. Lol. 1080p Epic settings fortnite 165. 16gb of same ram except white. Not sure whats up with your build. No overclock everything default.

  4. Try running ghost recon Wildlands or metro exodus at absolute max settings at 1080p. You need a well Overclocked 1080Ti/2080 to average anything above 60 at 1080p

  5. Zach I learned so much from this video regarding smoother more consistent frame rates with 1440p. Do you have an old set up with an i7 3770k around to test with this video's GPU RX5700xt? I scored a i7 3770k with an AS Rock z77 extreme 4 and 16 ddr 3 ram. Also, it seems that the older generation CPUs with ddr memory seem to benefit alot from overclocking the RAM. something I learned from another video (link below). I plan to pair the 3770k overclocked to 4.5ghz or more, overclocking the ddr to 200mhz, and using a 1660ti level card. Im jsut curious if frame rates are more consistent at 1080p or 1440p.

  6. First time viewer and it was really nice to see a short succinct video. Thanks for not droning on for 15 minutes when 6 will do just fine.

  7. Something I have been waiting for a LOOONG time. Instead of fighting Intel and nVidia at the highest possible end, I always thought AMD/ATI should go for the higher mid-range which has the widest possible appeal. This seems like a spiritual successor to the legendary 2500+ Barton.

  8. Future proofing is wasting money.  Buy the card today that gets the performance you desire….in 2 years, the card you could of bought today will be half price and you will still get the performance for less.  To break it down……a GTX 1070 right now can be bought for 200.00.  That sme card was nearly 500.00 a few years ago.  So now its 200….plus you bought a gpu 2 years ago for 200.  So you would be 400.00 into it…minus the sale of your old gpus…lets say half (100.00) so technically you would be 300.00 into it with the new purchase of gtx 1070 today….and still the performance you want.  Future proofing in PCs is idiotic…..your paying for tech at its highest price when it will be infinitly cheaper when you actually need it.  I cant stand people saying "future proof" your pc.  Stupid.

  9. for me i want 2k60fps on singleplayer games and 1k144fps/240fps on competitive games. This setup is not overkill for 240fps 1080p competitive gaming.

  10. I'm going to get the 3700x witch the 5700 xt, upgrading when hopefully the 5800 xt comes out but I'm playing on 1080p and plan on doing it for the foreseeable future.

My 144hz monitor still works like a charm and I don't really feel the need for higher resolutions yet.
