Tlaib says she won't visit West Bank under 'oppressive' conditions

1 min read

Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said on Friday she will not visit her grandmother in the occupied West Bank after Israel granted her entry, saying it would stand ‘against everything I believe in.’ ‘When I won, it gave the Palestinian people hope that someone will finally speak the truth about the inhumane conditions. I can’t allow the State of Israel to take away that light by humiliating me & use my love for my sity to bow down to their oppressive & racist policies,’ she tweeted Friday morning. ‘Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she wants for me. It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in–fighting against racism, oppression & injustice,’ she added.

  1. I remember a time when Britain refused entry to Gert Wilders, a democratically elected leader of a large party in the Netherlands, amongst numerous other high profile figures deemed trouble makers to the cohesion in our country. Whether we like it or not elected governments of any country can stop entrance to who ever they see as problematic.

  2. It is patently obvious that this hateful Tlaib person wants to visit the West Bank only and ONLY to spread her lies about poor poor "Palestine" and "Palestinians". She would love to be the female Yasir Arafat.
